Bad News were a spoof band in the same vein as the more famous Spinal Tap and appeared independantly around the same time (mid-eighties), so neither seemed to have influenced the other.
Brian May produced their debut album and even appeared with them on stage a couple of times. All but Peter Richardson were in The Young Ones, and all were part of The Comics Strip comedy group whch also involved Dawn French (Vicar of Dibley) & Jennifer Saunders (Ab Fab) | ||
